Today, the Board of Trustees and National Executive Committee of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) join the national chorus to celebrate two of our most illustrious sons—Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State and former Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Seriake Dickson—as they mark their 51st and 60th birthday anniversaries respectively.

Though these celebrations occur at a solemn moment across the Niger Delta region, we nonetheless thank Almighty God for the gift of life and the invaluable contributions of these distinguished leaders.
In the collective efforts by leaders at various levels to properly position the South-South geopolitical zone, it is incontrovertible that these two leaders continue to stand out. At 51 years of age, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has continued to impact the socio-economic landscape of Rivers State in spectacular, distinctive, and commendable ways. Today, Rivers State is widely adjudged a leading centre of growth and progress in Nigeria.
Equally, Senator Seriake Dickson, in his previous role as Governor of Bayelsa State and now as a ranking member of the upper chamber of the National Assembly, has at the occasion of his diamond jubilee further demonstrated true statesmanship. He remains a consistent voice of reason, candour, and principled leadership in the Senate and in national politics.
PANDEF salutes, in particular, their individual and collective contributions to the sustainable development and enduring peace of the South-South region. Even more profound is their continued impact on nation-building and democratic consolidation, anchored on equity, fairness, and justice. PANDEF also takes this opportunity to acknowledge and salute other leaders and selfless citizens whose strenuous efforts, though often unheralded, remain vital to the progress of our region.
We convey the collective prayers of the entire people of the Niger Delta for the continued outpouring of the blessings of Almighty God upon both leaders and upon all our people.
