Osomkime Edwin Blankson, on [date], received a high-level delegation of the Great Southern Ijaw House Leaders at the state secretariat in a meeting that highlighted strengthening grassroots alignment and strategic political collaboration in the state.

The delegation, led by Hon. Ezetu Rawlings, popularly known as Ebilo, alongside Hon. Ebitimi Gabriel, said their visit was aimed at formally identifying with the movement and gaining deeper insight into its vision, structure, and operations in Bayelsa State. They commended Blankson’s leadership, describing it as purposeful and instrumental in expanding the movement’s reach and impact.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Rawlings reaffirmed the Great Southern Ijaw House’s commitment to progressive engagement and pledged support toward securing electoral victories for Bola Ahmed Tinubu across Southern Ijaw and beyond. He noted that the movement’s grassroots-driven approach aligns with their shared goals of sustainable development, youth inclusion, and community empowerment.
Also speaking, Hon. Gabriel emphasized the dedication of women within the Great Southern Ijaw House to the ideals of the movement. She said women in the group are ready to contribute meaningfully to its growth while promoting unity, discipline, and resilience. According to her, the movement’s inclusive and people-centered philosophy continues to resonate widely across communities.
In his response, Blankson expressed appreciation for the visit and the show of solidarity. He reiterated that the City Boy Movement is anchored on loyalty, youth engagement, political awareness, and the promotion of good governance, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
He further stressed the movement’s commitment to mobilizing and empowering young Nigerians to participate actively in governance, while fostering a united and politically conscious generation capable of driving development from the grassroots to the national level.
Blankson assured the delegation of the movement’s readiness to embrace partnerships that would enhance its effectiveness and deepen its presence across Bayelsa communities.
He described the visit as timely and impactful, expressing confidence that such collaboration would consolidate support for President Tinubu and advance the pursuit of a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.
The meeting ended with a shared resolve to strengthen unity and deepen grassroots political engagement across Bayelsa State.
