The member representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rodney Ebikebina Ambaiowei, has called on the people of Southern Ijaw Constituency 1 to remain calm, united, and committed to working together in the interest of the constituency.

Hon. Ambaiowei, a widely respected political leader, made the appeal while addressing APC faithful of Ward 9 in Constituency 1 shortly after the APC primary election for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly held in Amassoma.
The lawmaker acknowledged concerns expressed by some party members and constituents from Amassoma, Otuan, and Amatolo over the outcome of the primaries, assuring them that every stakeholder would be carried along in the scheme of things.
He emphasized the importance of party cohesion and respect for the democratic process, urging party faithful to embrace the decision of the party leadership and align with the vision of the Governor for the overall progress of the constituency and Bayelsa State.
“I understand that emotions can run high during such processes, but it is crucial that we remain united as a party and as a constituency,” Ambaiowei stated.
“The decision of the party, guided by our esteemed Governor, is for the greater good of Southern Ijaw Constituency 1. I implore all our loyal party members and constituents in Amassoma, Otuan, and Amatolo to put aside every grievance and rally behind our flagbearer,” he added.
Hon. Ambaiowei further urged the people of Southern Ijaw Constituency 1, particularly the Ogboin people, to throw their full support behind the candidacy of Coronation Tokpo following his emergence as the APC flagbearer for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
He stressed that collective effort and unity remain essential for the success of the party in the forthcoming 2027 general elections, noting that only through cooperation can the constituency achieve meaningful development and effective representation.
The federal lawmaker reiterated his unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Southern Ijaw and called on all stakeholders to work together harmoniously for a stronger and more prosperous constituency.
