Ebedebiri Community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State came alive in a grand display of love, unity and political solidarity as members of the Diri/Akpe Believers joined host communities to welcome the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Pastor Peter Peretubo Akpe, Ph.D., at a grand reception held in his honour.

From the opening notes of music to the final dance, the atmosphere was electric, with songs of praise, cultural displays and enthusiastic cheers filling the community as indigenes, supporters and well-wishers gathered to celebrate one of their illustrious sons.
For the Diri/Akpe Believers, the event was more than a ceremonial gathering. It was a renewed demonstration of their commitment to the Prosperity Administration of His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, and to the Deputy Governor, whose leadership and service they described as symbols of loyalty, humility and progress in Bayelsa State.
Speaking to newsmen at the event, the Director-General of the Diri/Akpe movement, Mr. Douyi Willy, described the reception as a demonstration that unity and collective action remain critical to the development of Bayelsa State.
He reaffirmed the movement’s resolve to remain mobilised, organised and steadfast in supporting the Diri/Akpe political family and its vision for a stronger and more prosperous Bayelsa State.
