The Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Douye Diri has forwarded a list of 14 Commissioner nominees to the Bayelsa State House of Assembly for screening.

In a letter to the Speaker of the House of Assembly with reference No. GHYN/COS/Vol.1/105 dated 5th April, 2024, Sen. Diri wrote:
“Pursuant to the provisions of section 192 of the constitution of the FederalRepublicofNigeria(as Amended), I hereby forward the underlisted names, for confirmation by the House, as Commissioners of the Government of Bayelsa State”.
Commissioner Nominees who made the list include Dambo Biriyai, Maxwell Embeleyi Ebibai, Moses Teibowei, Daniel Baralatei Igali, Mrs. Koku Obiyai, Gentle Epilefa Gentle, Ayebakipreye Brodricks, George Ekpotuatein Flint, Komuko Akari Kharim, Perepuighe Biewari, Jones Ebieri, Barr. Peter Afagha, Mrs. Elizabeth Bidei, and Michael Magbisa.
The Governor also sent the warm assurances of his highest consideration and extended same to the esteemed members of the House.
It is expected that another set of Commissioners would be nominated after the confirmation of this first batch, for the second term running of Diri’s prosperity government.
