Ikibiri-born Hon. Romeo Ofongo has declared that 2027 should be the turn of Ekpetiama Kingdom to occupy the Gbarain/Ekpetiama Constituency 2 seat in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

Speaking on the issue, many elders in the Gbarain/Ekpetiama Clan in Yenagoa Local Government Area have also supported the call, insisting that the Assembly seat has remained with the Gbarain axis for over 20 years.
According to them, equity, fairness and political balance demand that Ekpetiama should produce the next representative, with Hon. Romeo Ofongo emerging as their preferred choice.
