Diri Vows to Fulfill Promises, Equips NDTV To Resume Broadcast

As Governor Diri approaches the end of his first term in office, the Bayelsa State Government has pledged to fulfill all promises made to the people without fail.

Hon. Ayibaina Duba, Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information, made this announcement during a tour with journalists to showcase the recently installed digital equipment at Niger Delta Television (NDTV), the state-owned broadcast station.

The equipment upgrade aims to revive NDTV, which has been off the air for over a year, and prepare it for resumption of broadcasting.

Hon. Duba said: “This prosperity government is not in the business of lying to Bayelsans. When we said we’re going to house the media houses in one place, we meant it”.

“And even the equipping of the television and the radio stations, there was no day work stopped. That is commitment of government. When you say something, you go ahead to do it”.

“In the same vein, there’s no project, no road project we have decided to embark on, that for one reason or the other the project has been stalled. Every project that we take upon as a government is ongoing, you can independently go and verify”,

The General Manager of NDTV, Mr. Fred Fabor, confirmed that the building was commissioned on February 14, 2022. And within a year, the government has completed the installation of equipment in the station.
