Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The people of Ikibiri Community in Ekpetiama Kingdom, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, have announced plans for the 2026 edition of their annual “Ogbo-Tein Tuwa Erein” Oge Festival, extending a warm invitation to all sons and daughters of the community at home and in the diaspora, traditional rulers, members of the academia, professionals, and the general public to participate in the cultural celebration.

According to the organisers, the festival is scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Ikibiri Community Auditorium, beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m.
The event will be chaired by the APC Chairman of Yenagoa Local Government Area, Hon. Zikenah T. Coker, while the Member representing Yenagoa Constituency II in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Waikumo Amakoromo, will attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
The annual Ogbo-Tein Tuwa Erein Oge Festival is one of Ikibiri’s foremost cultural events, aimed at promoting the community’s rich heritage, strengthening unity among its people, and fostering development through collective participation.
The organisers encouraged all indigenes of Ikibiri, irrespective of their place of residence, to return home and join in celebrating the community’s cultural identity alongside invited guests from across Bayelsa State and beyond.
The invitation was jointly endorsed by the Paramount Ruler of Ikibiri Community, HRH Barrister Collins Maurice Lagos (Ogbo III), Chairman of the Festival Planning Committee, Mr. Alagba Sonny Ebipadei, and the Secretary of the Festival Planning Committee/Youth President, Comrade Bila Peacemaker, who called on participants to attend in large numbers and contribute to the success of the 2026 festival.
The organisers expressed optimism that this year’s edition will further strengthen unity, preserve the cultural heritage of Ikibiri Community, and showcase the community’s traditions to visitors from across Nigeria and the diaspora.
