Honourable Commissioner for Culture, Hon. Keku Godpower, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Madam Tonye Koroye, and the entire staff of the Ministry, has extended warm congratulations to His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and the people of Bayelsa.
In their goodwill message, the Ministry lauded Governor Diri’s leadership over the past five years, describing his administration as one defined by purposeful governance and strategic transformation. They noted that Bayelsa’s economy is being recalibrated, development is being decentralised, and prosperity is being intentionally pursued for the benefit of all.
From the East to Central and West Senatorial Districts, they acknowledged the visible imprints of the Prosperity Administration—impacting lives, expanding opportunities, and building systems rooted in equity, peace, and inclusion. With courage, foresight, and passion, the Governor has, they said, continued to steer the state towards security, stability, and sustainable growth.

As both anniversaries are commemorated, the Ministry called for renewed patriotism and collective hope, expressing confidence that Bayelsa and Nigeria will continue to thrive in unity, peace, and abundance.
“Congratulations, Your Excellency,” the message concluded, paying tribute to leadership, progress, and the shared aspirations of the people.
