Speaking with journalists shortly after the primary election held in Amassoma, the federal lawmaker described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and a reflection of the democratic spirit within the party.
Ambaiowei commended delegates, party leaders and supporters for their orderly conduct throughout the exercise, noting that the unity displayed by members would further strengthen the APC ahead of future political engagements in Bayelsa State.
According to him, “Today’s primary election has once again demonstrated that our party remains committed to internal democracy, fairness and peaceful coexistence. I am impressed with the level of maturity shown by our members and stakeholders.”
The lawmaker urged party members to remain united and continue working together in the collective interest of the APC and the development of Southern Ijaw Constituency 1.
“We must continue to place the interest of the people above personal ambitions. The strength of our party lies in our unity, and together we can achieve greater success for our communities,” he stated.
Ambaiowei also praised the electoral committee and security agencies for ensuring a smooth and hitch-free process, adding that the peaceful atmosphere during the exercise was encouraging.
Party supporters and political stakeholders who spoke after the exercise equally expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the primary, describing it as credible and well-organised.
The APC primary election in Constituency 1, Amassoma, attracted party faithful, delegates and supporters from across the area, with stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to the growth and success of the party in the state.
