Unflinching Support for Prosperity Agenda: A Call to Action for Bayelsans

My Dear Alagoa A. Morris, our revered Environmental Activist,

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

I followed your sail, and saw beyond the images of your experience, the handwork of God in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area which had been severally adjudged as the largest but most underdeveloped part of Bayelsa State.

It is heartwarming to see His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri actualising the developmental dream of our late sage Chief (Sen.) Melford Okilo, in syncronism with previous administrations. This is a legacy project that transcend the present generation.

You, and indeed, all Bayelsans, including those that daily conspire against the re-election of my Governor, will agree with me from the honest side of their hearts, that the Angiama – Oporoma Road and Bridges, heading to Otuan, will bring banks, industries, hospitals and other commercial activities to the Headquarters of this remote Local Government Area. It will also boost the living conditions and prosperity of our people.

There’s no gainsaying the hard fact that what we see here is the quintessence of developments in Brass, Nembe, Ekeremor, Sagbama, Ogbia, Kolokuma/Opokuma and Yenagoa in terms of road infrastructures. It is indeed, a testament to remind Bayelsans of the Biblical saying that “when the righteous rule, the people rejoice”.

While we contemplate the possibility of visiting other areas of the Prosperity Agenda like education, employment, rural electrification, social security, etc in the weeks ahead, permit me, Senior Comrade, to use this medium to appeal to all Bayelsans and non-indigenes resident in the State to ensure that there’s no stopping for Douye Diri.

The constitution of Nigeria dictates that any person contesting for election into public office must do so on a registered political party platform. In this case, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is our platform. Sen. Douye Diri is the persona.

It’s a universal truth that “continuity of projects is the hallmark” of progressive development in any State. Dubai in the United Arab Emirate and our own Lagos are perfect examples. Also, its a truism that the incumbency carried along, all the projects hitherto uncompleted by previous administrations for reasons of their end of tenure. Such a man is favoured by God to serve his people and deserve our support through November 11, 2023, by virtue of all that we have seen and heard within the past three and a half years of his prosperous administration of Bayelsa State.

Therefore, it is imperative that we continue to give our unflinching support to Gov. Diri. Let us remember that Bayelsa State is not just about one person or one election, but about the collective aspirations of our people. We need a leader who is committed to developing our dear state and improving the lives of our people.

In conclusion, I would like to thank you, Morris Alagoa, for your continued efforts towards preserving the environment and advocating for sustainable development in our state. Your initiatives have greatly contributed to the progress that Bayelsa State is witnessing today.

Let us continue to strive towards a better and prosperous Bayelsa State, where our people can live in peace and prosperity.

Once again, I urge all Bayelsans to support Sen. Douye Diri and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the continued development of our state.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ere Robinson Erebi
Special Assistant to the Governor (Special Duties)
