“We thank you for the support. From day one when we came in, Bayelsa and indeed Yenagoa, the state capital, has been peaceful. And because of your support, we have been performing.”
“Our party is kicking very well in Bayelsa State. We remain the party to beat. PDP has never been beaten in Bayelsa. So, all those haggling for 2027, if you want anything meaningful, you better come to PDP.”
โDepriving the state of its rightful allocations imposes undue hardship on a people who have consistently contributed to national sustenanceโ
“What propelled me to build a new secretariat was the civil servants’ request for office accommodation, which became a recurring decimal every Workersโ Day in the state.โ
“In the face of such a loss, what can we say that would adequately capture the essence of her spirit and character? Let us thus draw strength from our shared faith and simply say in the words of the hymn writer: โWhatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.โ

“We should work on our financial muscle well in place to lift our burden before we go and meet development partners for the census. We should work out the figures before discussi”ng the role of development partners.
For clarity, my earlier directives were triggered by the unlawful “inauguration” of a parallel Ward Executive Committee for Ogbia Ward 9 by the State Working Committee, following the refusal of the authentic WEC to suspend me from the Party without justification. Such actions contradict the democratic values that Governor Diri upholds. I doubt that he would endorse such illegality, leading to my decision to withdraw my prior directives.
