Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Behind his back, I fondly call Engr. Rodney Ambaiowei “my young master,” having volunteered and helped launch what I describe as the “mother of all political campaigns” for his election into the House of Representatives, representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency in 2023.

As a member of his emerging political family, I have grown to know and admire him as a leader who truly understands the needs of his people. I have witnessed his decisive legislative actions through several bills aimed at addressing pressing environmental, health, education, human capital development, and welfare challenges affecting the good people of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
His oversight functions as the people’s representative have brought unprecedented relief to many families and infrastructural development to numerous communities. These include the renovation and construction of classrooms, provision of electricity, water, and modern public conveniences across wards in the constituency.
Three years on, Hon. Rodney Ebikebina Ambaiowei, MNSE, has delivered a compelling scorecard of stewardship—demonstrating what is possible with a reliable and dependable leader. His humility and down-to-earth approach to issues concerning his people remain worthy of emulation and continued support.
His outstanding performance in the House of Representatives has sparked conversations among political observers, especially as attention gradually shifts toward 2027. While many in Southern Ijaw subscribe to the dictum, “to whom much is given, much is expected,” the man at the center of the discussion believes that what he has achieved so far is only the tip of the iceberg. With God’s grace, he remains determined to do even more for the constituency in the years ahead.
