Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!A Lagos-based cleric, Pastor Omakogwa Emmanuel, has called on the people of Bayelsa State to remain calm and steadfast in the face of present challenges, declaring that Jesus Christ is speaking “peace, be still” over the state.

Pastor Emmanuel made the call while speaking with EMTV News at the conclusion of the four-day Annual Convention organised by Destiny Restoration Ministry International in Yenagoa on Sunday.
Delivering a sermon titled around the encounter between Jesus Christ and Peter the fisherman from Luke 5:1–9, the cleric stressed that there is no situation beyond God’s power.
According to him, despite the numerous difficulties confronting Nigerians, God has already gone ahead of every challenge and will intervene at the appointed time.

“There is nothing God cannot do. Whatever problems we are encountering in this country, Almighty God has gone ahead of everything, and He will do it at His own time,” he said.
Pastor Emmanuel also urged Nigerian youths to remain patient, stay focused, and continue trusting God amid economic and social uncertainties.
“Peter was fishing and caught nothing all night, just as many people in this country are struggling with one problem or the other. But when Jesus stepped into Peter’s boat and he surrendered it to Him, he received a divine command,” he stated.

“I prophesy to all Nigerian youths that we are going to receive divine direction that will bring us out of these insecurities and all the problems confronting this country in the name of Jesus. Before the end of this year, God will do what only Him can do in this nation, and He alone will take all the glory.”
Speaking further on the situation in Bayelsa State and the Church, Pastor Emmanuel assured residents that the current challenges would not last.
“The Church of God is moving forward, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I want Bayelsans to remain still. The fact that Jesus is in your boat does not mean there will be no storm, but this storm will not last. Jesus is speaking ‘peace, be still’ over Bayelsa State, and peace will prevail, even in this political season, in the mighty name of Jesus,” he added.

He further encouraged Christians and residents to remain spiritually connected to God.
“I urge everyone to stay close to God because He is the source of our help. In all you do, acknowledge God, and He will direct your path.”
Earlier, the General Overseer of Destiny Restoration Ministry International, Rev. Felix J. Omale, said the church holds its Annual Convention every first week of May as a way of giving glory to God.
According to Rev. Omale, the ministry has sustained the tradition for over 22 years.
“Every first week of May, we set aside time to celebrate this convention, but this year’s edition was extraordinary. We saw the hand of God and His glory manifested mightily,” he said.

“People were healed, many gave their lives to Christ, and several bondages were broken. The ministers who came this year were exceptional. One came from Lagos and another from Abuja, and God used them powerfully.”
The cleric also invited those who could not attend the programme to visit the church located opposite Bay Ridge along the Express Road in Kpansia, Yenagoa.
“A lot of destinies are being restored here, and we give hope to the hopeless. Yesterday, we shared gift items including rice, money, and clothes to widows, orphans, and other less privileged persons,” he said.

This year’s edition of the Annual Convention featured drama presentations, men and women’s ministrations, praise and worship sessions, cutting of the 2026 Convention Cake, as well as deliverance ministrations by Prophet Emmanuel Ojodownu from Abuja.
