*Assures Completion of Ekeremor-Ndoro Road on Schedule
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has restated the driving force behind his administration’s commitment to rural road infrastructure across the state.

Governor Diri said creating better access to communities and reducing the suffering of people in the largely riverine state were the motivating factors behind the projects.
The governor stated this during an inspection of the ongoing Ekeremor-Ndoro section of the Ekeremor-Agge Road in Ekeremor Local Government Area on Thursday.
He said the project, which has a spur leading to Peretorugbene community, would be completed on schedule despite the area’s difficult terrain.

A statement by his spokesperson, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, quoted the governor as expressing satisfaction with the project being handled by Lubrik Construction Company (LCC), noting that the firm had a proven track record with the state government.
He cited as an example the roads constructed by the company in the New Yenagoa City, one of which was inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu on April 10, 2026.
The governor said:
“We all know what it takes to construct a one-kilometre road in Bayelsa State. If we surmounted the terrain challenges of the Nembe-Brass Road, this project will not be an exception.

“For me, I am development-oriented. I want to see the suffering of my people end, and that is what I am doing.
“I am very satisfied with the level of work I have seen today. This is not a new company to us as a government. The company has been working with the Bayelsa State Government since I assumed office as governor. The beautiful roads you see in the New Yenagoa City were constructed by this company.”
The Project Manager of LCC, Engr. Abu Saheed, said about seven kilometres of the 28-kilometre road had already reached the stone-base stage and assured that, with continued support from the state government, the project would be delivered on schedule next year.

Speaking on the major bridge under construction, the company disclosed that all necessary materials were already at its yard and that piling work would commence within the next two months.
The sand-filling aspect of the project has already advanced close to Peretorugbene community.
The road project is a critical link to the Agge Deep Seaport and is expected to boost economic activities, ease transportation for communities along the corridor, reduce travel time, and enhance security in the state’s western flank.

Accompanying the governor during the inspection were the Deputy Governor, Dr. Peter Akpe; members representing Sagbama Constituency II and III in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Bernard Kenebai and Hon. Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown, respectively; the APC senatorial candidate for Bayelsa West, Chief Fidelis Agbiki; the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Solomon Agwana; as well as members of the State Executive Council and other government functionaries.
