Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government owe Nigerians an urgent explanation. The perceived compromise with terrorists, bandits, and insurgents has raised serious concerns and, many argue, has brought Nigeria’s security architecture to its knees.

The statistics are both staggering and heartbreaking. Entire communities have been wiped out, more than 2,000 innocent students have been kidnapped over the years, and violence against women and vulnerable citizens continues unabated. Yet, many Nigerians believe the Federal Government’s response has been inadequate.
Consider the sacrifices of these fallen heroes—senior military officers who lost their lives in the line of duty while defending the nation’s sovereignty:
- Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah
- Major General Hassan Ahmed
- Major General Rabe Abubakar (rtd)
- Brigadier General M. Uba
While some of Nigeria’s finest military officers have paid the supreme price, critics question a policy that has, at various times, embraced the rehabilitation and reintegration of repentant insurgents instead of pursuing their total defeat on the battlefield.
This is no longer seen by many as merely a failure of governance; it is increasingly viewed as an existential challenge to the Nigerian state. Nigerians deserve accountability. The government must strengthen support for frontline troops, protect citizens, and take decisive steps to restore peace and security across the country.
